The Big Day
Finally the day had come, when it is time to pick up our new fur baby. We were excited and nervous at the same time. Here is our story of bringing home our little MeatBall.
Our little MeatBall was finally ready to be picked up and brought home. We just had to make it through our work day. I got off work at six and my husband got off at seven. That was the longest Friday I had ever had to work. So I planned on going home and letting Sadie, our Boxer, and Mr.Wiene, our dashound, out to do their business. Then shortly after my husband would be home and we would go pick our new fur baby. We were nervous because we didn't know how Sadie and Mr. Wiene would act with a new puppy in the house. Tonight we would find out.
My husband got home to pick me up so we started our way to the breeders house. She only lived about forty-five minutes from our house and her husband got off work at seven as well, so she was ok with us showing up so late. We were about half way to her house when I realized that, with all of the excitement I forgot to grab the special blanket we bought for MeatBall. I was pretty upset about it. My husband being the sweet man he is offered to turn around to get it, but I told him no. It would be okay. We got to the town our breeder lived in and decided to grab a hamburger really quick because we wanted to go straight home once we got our fur baby. My husband told me that was the fastest he had ever seen me eat. I was just to excited!
We got to the breeders house. It felt like she took forever to answer the door. She answered the door and walked us in to her livingroom and handed us our little MeatBall! She was so sweet and little. After getting puppy kisses we fill out our paper work with the breeder and her husband was loading up the dog food we bought from them. We thought it would be best to buy a bag of dog food that the breeder was already using. We were getting ready to leave when the breeder told us to wait a minute she had a blanket for us to take. I couldn't believe it when she brought us the same blanket I had forgotten at home! That was just the icing on the cake! After that we loaded up in the car and made our way home with our new fur baby, our little MeatBall.
